Hello.
We're just finishing off work on a new build of iWeb Buddy which will hopefully resolve all of the Lion issues we know about. If you check out site http://www.zarrastudios.com early next week you will hopefully see version 1.6 available for download.
Apologies for the inconvenience and delays in replying.
All the best,
Simon

continue to wait for version 1.6, I begin to feel an urge that I have several projects underway. If you take a long time this version will have to return to snow leopard.
Thank you.

Hi Bibi,
My apologies for the delays. I've just checked with a colleague and there are some delays in finalising this new version of the application. However, if you want to email me via swolf (at) zarrastudios (dot) com I can send you over a special build which will hopefully solve your problems and we'll by-pass the official distribution route for now.
Apologies and all the best,
Simon

Please hurry people, I have 4 commercial websites I support and I cannot update them until this program is restored for use in Lion.
Thanks for the program and the help.

Hi Craig,
Is your email address something at gmx.com? I'll email you over a copy later today if it is but it will break the internal updating mechanism so at some point you'd have to download the official 1.6 release from the site to get that working again.
All the best,
Simon

Yes that's the right e-mail extension,
Thanks for the help, your little program has been priceless for me. Now I am learning Dreamweaver, as iWeb is not a commercial web design program that's for sure. I learned the hard way.

Hi Craig,
You should get the email shortly. If you don't please let us know. I've sent it to both of the email addresses the support system has picked up from your posts.
Dreamweaver may be a good way to go, not only for commercial reasons, but also because we're not confident about iWeb's life-span. Apple seem to have side-lined it which never bodes well and the changes from MobileMe to iCloud and the loss of MobileMe web site hosting certainly isn't a positive indicator.
All the best,
Simon

Is iWebBuddy working with Lion now? I see that it was an issue and an update was on the way...will I be able to use iWebBuddy with my Lion software now?

No, It lost all of it's directories and I have been stuck. :-(

Lisa, if you can let me have your email address then I can email you a copy or, probably better, if you use Dropbox I can add you to our shared folder so you can grab it from there. Don't post your email address here because this discussion is public but you could start a new discussion, mark it as private and post it there.
Craig, are you using our initial 1.6 version? If not, the same as my reply to Lisa applies to you.
We do have one user who is having problems with the 1.6 version but I am waiting for some logs and other files from them before we can diagnose their problem and fix it.

Craig, additionally, what version of iWeb are you using and do you think you could send us your log files (via the Help menu in iWeb Buddy).
Thanks,
Simon

How do I do that? I looked and there was nothing there.
Support Staff 14 Posted by simon on 21 Sep, 2011 06:22 PM
In the Help menu there should be an item which says 'Submit Log Files'. If that's not there then you can open a Finder window, press Shift+Command+G and type in '~/Library/Caches/com.zarrastudios.iWebBuddy'. In the folder which you are hopefully shown there should be some iWeb Buddy log files. Can you zip them up and send them to [email blocked] please.
Many thanks.

Hello all. We've just release iWeb Buddy 1.6.1 which you can get from:
http://www.zarrastudios.com/ZDS/Home/Entries/2011/10/11_iWeb_Buddy_...
Hopefully this will fix the crashes some of you have been seeing under Lion but please do let us know if there are still problems.
Many thanks.
Simon
