Can It Simplify Adding An Audio Hyperlink To iWeb?
All I want to do is to add an iTunes sort of play-pause-stop icon function to the web site. There is only a single but hour long audio file (not video) that I'd want site visitors to be able to play.

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately iWeb Buddy can't help you with this sort of thing but you drag an item into iWeb from the Media sidebar it should include playback controls.
The attached image iweb_music_01.png shows what iWeb looks like when you drag an audio track into an iWeb page and iweb_music_02.png shows how it looks (the important bit being that the image placeholder is not shown and the users have playback controls.
I hope this help.
All the best,
Simon

Thanks Simon,
What would happen if I wanted to load 6 photos onto the same page. And, a separate section of an audio file would play when each photo was selected. Is it at all possible for this to be done?

Hi Dave,
I'm sure it can be done somehow, I"m just not sure how you would do it.
I think that your best bet is to do a web search and see if you can turn something up. A site like iWeb FAQ (http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_FAQ.html) might be a good place to look too.
A final word of caution is that you should only be using music you own or music released into the public domain on your site. If you put someone else's music on your site you are breaking the law and may well get into trouble for it.
All the best,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your comments. I'm not sure what sort of web search would
produce what I need. Be that as it may, the sort of thing I mentioned
may actually be a project for a commercial web designer. BTW, it's
understandable that you'd think I am using music. In fact, the audio
material consists of extensive narratives (audio only) of memoirs I've
made.

Hi Dave,
I thought that a web search for something like 'iweb audio image' might turn something up or lead you to sites where there are examples of doing the sorts of things you are trying to do.
The narratives sound like a great idea and I only made the comment just in case you were using audio tracks you had bought or had ripped from a CD.
Unfortunately we don't do provide any web design services, nor do we have anyone we can direct you towards I'm afraid. However I am sure there will be web designers in your local area who can help you.
All the best,
Simon
